thought you might be interested to see half a dozen eggs produced by eldest boy's chickens, which he sells to help with his finances - pretty I think. The funny thing is, it doesn't matter what colour the shell is, the contents ALL TASTE THE SAME! Whatever anyone else tells you.

Those are pretty! I've always gotten eggs from the supermarket, I'd like to try fresh eggs sometime.
everyone should try farm, free range eggs. they taste completely different from shop (read watery) eggs, and the yolks are bright orange/electric yellow! the albumen stands up too, not like the puddle that surrounds a shop egg. try some!Oh, and they make bright yellow cakes too!
We have a girl at work who has a smallholding somewhere near Bakewell in Derbyshire. She brings in free-range when the hens are laying, they are snapped up very quickly. The flavour is much better than the stuff from the supermarkets!
She's acquired the nickname Mrs. Tweedy.
